Our fiends at the UF/IFAS Extension Hillsborough County have so great information on how to control our Lubber problems before they eat up your garden.

Insectides are ineffective means of elimination as Lubbers are highly resistant to insectides. Hand remove and place in tub of soap water is the most effective and environmental friendly method of control.
This method is also great for the young Lubbers known as nymphs. Note they look a lot different than adult versions.
