This month the Wildflower Committee has selected to showcase the Coreopsis.
You can find Coreopsis, Florida's State Wildflower, emerging throughout VISTA Gardens, where we have many of the 12 species native to Florida.
Dwarf Lance Leaf Coreopsis lanceolata is in bloom in the Wildflower Garden. Florida tickseed Coreopsis floridana, Leavenworth's tickseed Coreopsis leavenworthii, and Threadleaf coreopsis Coreopsis verticillata are emerging in the Monarch Waystation Garden, as well as the Native Plant Landscape and Pond pollinator gardens.
If you are interested in transplanting Coreopsis in your landscape, limited seedlings are available in VISTA's House of the Rising Seeds.
