I acknowledge that VISTA’s premises contains bees, and I will exercise caution to avoid any accidents related to the bees and will not hold VISTA liable.

I understand that there is a requirement to volunteer at least 2 hours per month on a VISTA Gardens Committee. Please email VISTAGardenTampa@gmail.com with your committee selection. The Committee List can be found here.

After signing a waiver, Community Members are welcome to participate in VISTA Gardens activities, including educational and social events. They have access to shared garden areas, including our herb and butterfly gardens, pond, and trail.  Many Community Members enjoy volunteering in various ways at VISTA.

VISTA Gardens is committed to ensuring a safe environment for all volunteers, staff, and community members. Volunteers must not be under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or medications that impair judgment while performing any volunteer duties. If impairment is suspected, VISTA Gardens reserves the right to immediately remove a volunteer from their assigned duties. Future participation will be reviewed by the board. This policy is in place to protect everyone and will be strictly enforced.

I understand that if I choose to drive my own vehicle or any other vehicle while volunteering for VISTA Gardens, I do so at my own risk. I acknowledge that VISTA Gardens does not provide insurance coverage for volunteer drivers and that I am solely responsible for carrying my own auto insurance. I release and hold harmless VISTA Gardens, its board members, staff, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, or damages that may arise from my operation of a vehicle while volunteering. I agree to abide by all traffic laws and ensure that I am not impaired by alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may affect my ability to drive safely.
