Let it snow...Snow Squarestem (Melanthera nivea) is also known as Salt & Pepper, among other names has been selected as this month's native plant. It is the closest we can get to a snowflake here in Tampa.
Go looking for the smaller, low growing and spreading version of this plant in two sections of VISTA’s Wildflower Garden and you will see how it got these names! An incredible pollinator plant, it provides nectar for a wide diversity of butterfly species that grows in full sun or part shade and is drought tolerant once established.
