With the hot steamy weather, we haven’t been as active in the woodlands this month.
With the help of VISTA an and USF volunteers, we did clear a shady alcove in the front section just behind the compost area that is planned to be the site of a mushroom garden. It appears that one time this area had a structure on it. There was only one small Brazilian pepper to remove!
We took advantage of the rainy weather to plant more native plants in a low wet area, including corn snakeroot (eryngium aquaticum) and giant leather fern.
