Slim Jim is a terrific dwarf aubergine variety from Italy – an award-winning all-rounder in the patio vegetable category. Its dark-purple foliage and clusters of long, slim, purple fruits make it a perfect choice for ornamental and decorative gardens. Even though the variety’s origins are not clear, most accounts agree that it is southern-Italian in origin and was first introduced by Italian seed company Fratelli Ingegnoli.

This All-America Selections (AAS) Winner in 2022 bears cylindrical 7 inches long fruit uniform in size that typically weigh 7.7 ounces. The fruits stay pure white, without yellowing and have improved texture and flavor. Resistant to inset and environmental damage and tolerant of heat. 

These dark purple beauties with green tinted flesh are slender, 9 inches by 3 inches in diameter. Deep eggplant flavor, texture, firm flesh, and rarely bitter. The fruits are borne in clusters of 4-6 on two-foot tall plants, are disease-resistant, and rarely bitter.

This versatile variety matures earlier than most and is a perfect choice to use in an appetizer or side dish. A beautiful eggplant with shiny, dark lavender slender fruits that grow up to 12" long. Produces very well, even in very hot weather.

Three-foot plants with 6-inch-long fruits that are 2-3 inches in diameter with some variability in fruit shape. Good flavor. Hardy and productive for the South and other hot, humid areas. 

Vigorous, upright, and well-branched plants bear high-quality fruits continuously throughout the season, and its large purple-black pear-shaped eggplants are held high off the ground. Disease- and drought-resistant. 

This variety produces lovely, highly ribbed, plum-purple fruit that has a delicious, strong eggplant flavor. Fruit varies from tennis to softball sized. Very productive and unique!
